Training Courses for Beginners

These are aimed at complete novices and are for anyone who would like to start running for what ever reason but are unsure what to do, how to get started or perhaps needs help with clothing, shoes or diet.

We will aim to get you to a stage where you feel confident to continue on your own, or perhaps join a club, or enter a local fun run, but mainly our aim is to enable you to enjoy your running.

Our next 7 week course will commence on Saturday 12th May 2012 at 9.00am, meeting outside the Werrington Sports Centre in Peterborough.

The course consists of 7 x 1 hour sessions and costs £25 for the entire seven weeks. In addition every participant will receive a free runners training water bottle and a copy of our handy "An Introduction to Running for New Runners" booklet.
 
Payment must be made at the time of booking by cash or cheque. Each course is limited to a maximum of 15 participants to ensure a friendly, informal session with no pressure.

If you would like to register for the course please download and complete the application form and return it to the address stated with full payment. All applications are acknowledged immediately to confirm receipt and a place on the course.

Courses are frequently oversubscribed and therefore early application is recommended.

The sessions, part of the RunEngland programme, are held on the first and third Saturday of every month, from 9.15 - 10.15 and are specifically tailored for new runners. They follow the successful run4fun formula which introduces runners of all abilities to the pleasure and enjoyment of running and the best bit is they are completely free!!

then on the 4th and 18th February 2011.
